Saint Aftimios of America, Confessor. Memory Eternal !
St. Aftimios, pray for me that I will not allow the hatred of
others to transform my heart, but rather that I be conformed
by the love of Christ. May I always recognize the true Church,
and stand firm in my opposition to the enemy as he seeks to
destroy that Church. In the heat of battle, may I always
remember that our fight is spiritual. It is not flesh and blood that
we wrestle against, but principalities and powers, rulers of the
darkness of this world. Our fight is against spiritual wickedness
in high places. Intercede for me, St Aftimios, that I may be a
gentle minister of Christ's gospel and that in my vulnerability,
God and His holy angels will protect me from the wiles of Satan.
